Our company was founded in 1948 soon after the formation of East Pakistan and witnessed the birth of Bangladesh in 1971. We are proud to own the oldest surviving factory in Dhaka's historic Tejgaon Industrial District: being the second factory to be constructed in Tejgaon.
We are a family-run enterprise. Commander Soap Company Limited's first Managing Director was the industrialist Fazlur Rahman Khan. His son, Mohammad Zakaria Khan is the present Managing Director since 1985 and has managed the companies continued growth in his tenure. Over the years, our iconic brand, Cosco Glycerin Soap, has become a part of Bangladesh's history and manufacturing legacy.
